    installing engines on a cat?

Do you guys know how to prevent outward banking of the cats by tilting the motors inward?  I heard of this method but don't have the right degrees for the motors to be mounted at.  If the motor legs are set outward at  few degrees, the motor will push the hull on the outward side a little upward and dig the inward hull downward making it similar to a single hull boat in handling.  What's your take on this guys... thanks!

I have gotten used to it and don't usually worry about it.  However, when I have new people aboard I will make the adjustment for their sake.

My advice is to play with the trim settings while driving until you get so used to what happens with the various settings that it becomes second nature - practice makes perfect Geeked [8-|]

I usually trim up on the engine on the inside of the turn so it digs the inward side down and there is less possibility of my outside prop starting to cavitate on the turn as that side rises.

I also like to make her lean to one side real hard, when safe to do so, just to see the reaction I get out of passengers Devil [6]

What boat do you have anyway?

I am currently in the process of purchasing a  20 foot custom catamaran built by a local guy.  Kinda looks like a 22 seacat but with a forward half cab instead of the center console.

kinda looks like this without the window part

That sounds like an interesting project.  What was the reason for going with a custom made rather than a production boat?  Please let us know how the boat turns out.

Here in Hawaii, the weather can turn from nice to nuts in minutes.  Anyplace is like that but we are in the middle of the ocean and with million of miles of ocean it is just plain crazy to get stuck out there with just any boat.  Twin vees, sea cats, glacier bays have been tested here but for my needs this boat is awesome.  The integrated fish boxes are sunk into the hulls to fit my needs, the weight of the boat is light enough to be launched at the makeshift ramp we have..... it is basically a boat that fits my needs perfectly.  The 22 hawaiian twin vee was my favorite but due to the lack of a liner and built in fish box, this ruled it out.  And twin vees are wet boats on the seas we fish as proven by one guy who has a 20 footer with a custom front cab to prevent him from getting wet.... he gets soaked from head to toe on every trip.

I'll definitely let you guys know how it is..... that is if he sells it to me... he might jump at a higher offer because there are over a 100 guys looking at this type of boat at this moment.
