Zip it! [:#] Twin Vee 17

Hi all. I have a 2005 Twinvee 17 with mercury 60. I have had problem withe the workmanship of this boat.  I have water geting in the rightside of the hall; the dealer had to drill the hall and install drain plugs!!!!. I had problem with the shifter that even Mercury Rep said there is a problem and between the boat dealer and mercury dealer they had the boat for 6 weeks and they finally riged it with new shifter and left the new cables on the *** of the boat, I asked them why, they said they couldent pull the old cable out and they just cut the old one's and couldent run the new cables where they are sepused to be.:@. I am a disabled Veteran that may have a few good days a month, and I enjoy fishing. But this boat is started to be a headake for me. I think I have put the boat in the water nomore than 20 times. The boat is rated for 6 people but when I am on the boat with my wife and two kids 3 and 5 years old the boat cavitates, and I cann't go not more then 14 MPH out of it. the dealer have move the motor two times and now it's seating in it's last adjustment hole, but it does it:#.
I am just sick of this small problem. the boat itself rides good at low speeds and handles the rough water very good. It also uses a little gas:).
I hope the twinvee people get there head together and improve there workman ship of there boats. I was thinking of moving to a bigger boat. I like Catboats, any Ideas?

If you want to move up to a 23' model I might have a recommendation.

You need to hook it up with a 4 blade SS Prop I had a 14 with 50hp evenrude it did 24mph. the factory should give you a new hull its there problem.

    Mr N,

I had a world cat 27' with twin diesels. It had a design flaw and the company would not stand behind their product. my insurance had to total it.

I would stay clear of world cats, glacier bays as they are owned by worldcat. I think even twin vee was just bought out by world cat but not totally sure.

Grady white makes a good cat.
